In very informal terms, the golden hour is simply the first hour of light after sunrise, and the last hour of light before sunset.

What makes it Magical?
During these times the sun is low in the sky, producing a soft, diffused light which is much more flattering than the harsh midday sun that so many of us are used to shooting in.

Allow plenty of setup time - When the golden hour starts, it starts surprisingly suddenly, so it's essential that you're prepared. Get to your shooting location with plenty of time to spare, even if that means getting up in the middle of the night.

Things to shoot!
The golden hour is good for ANY type of photography.  Here is some things that you can choose from:
-Portrait
-Self Portrait
-Landscape
-Still life
-Cityscape
-Principle of Composition

When to shoot!
According to http://www.golden-hour.com/ , Reservoir's golden hour is around 6:50-7:50am AND  7:20-8:20pm.

Upload to your Click Board and please write a brief description of what your photograph is and why you took it.
YOU MUST INCLUDE THE TIME YOU TOOK YOUR PHOTOGRAPH IN YOUR DESCRIPTION. YOU MUST SHOOT OUTSIDE!! POINTS WILL BE TAKEN OFF.

You will be graded on:
-Objective / Concept: Did you creatively solve the problem as independent thinker?  Image should be well thought out, planned and executed.  Image should be personalized with a unique and meaningful response.  Image is new and original (Avoid cliche and stereotypical responses)
-Design: How elegantly do you employ the photographic principles of composition or principles of design in your work?
-Camera Use:  Did you use good lighting and is the exposure well focused?
-Presentation : Did you make simple edits in a photo program to adjust levels, crop or clean up the image? Did you upload it to flickr on time?
